The Role

As a Researcher with the RMA, you’ll support the development and implementation of a range of projects that will support effective practice in Scotland. You’ll primarily be working on research under supervision within the Research & Development team, including activities such as literature reviews, research proposals and ethics applications, data analysis and making recommendations on quality and progress. We’ll also need you to work with internal and external partners to support RMA research activities.

To apply for this role, you should have degree and ideally a post-graduate qualification in a relevant social science subject and prior experience of qualitative and/or quantitative research. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are essential. Knowledge of the justice system and risk assessment and management is desirable. Full details are in the Application Pack.
