As a Senior Operations Engineer for Information Services, you’ll work as part of the Systems Team, working across a range of systems and services developed in support of SEPA’s Organisational Strategy.
You will play a key role in the team, taking on responsibility for maintaining, supporting, improving and securing these services. The role will provide the opportunity to influence the technical approach used, as well as contribute to the on-going improvements within the working practices of the team. There will be the opportunity to mentor junior members of staff and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across a broad section of the organisation.
This is a great opportunity for a systems engineer to take on a more senior role within a small team where collaboration and innovation are key.
Your role will include:
· Managing day to day operations and ensuring the effectiveness and availability of our critical services.
· Help improve team working processes with a view to implementing best practice across the systems support lifecycle.
· Supervise and mentor junior staff with a proactive approach.
· Advise on the most appropriate technologies to use to meet different requirements.
