The St Johnstone Community Trust

The St. Johnstone Community Trust is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered in April 2016. The Trust is an award-winning charitable organisation based at McDiarmid Park in Perth & Kinross. Our projects are diverse, and we work with all ages, currently ranging from 1 to 105 years old. We utilise the widespread appeal of sport, and in particular football, to help people throughout the county achieve their goals. It is part of the Trust's key objectives to promote participation by providing activities designed to improve health, education, and wellbeing and to promote equality and inclusion through programmes which target those facing barriers.

This is a particularly exciting time for The St. Johnstone Community Trust as we embark on the final year of our 2023 to 2026 strategy – Changing Lives Through Football, which sets out how we plan to inspire children, young people, adults, and families in Perth & Kinross to achieve their potential.

We are working to help address two key themes in Perth & Kinross: Poverty and Health. Using our Trust pillars of Sport, Education and Wellbeing, we aim to upskill children and adults through physical, mental, and social support. With this in mind, we are committed to working closer with our communities and creating opportunities for people to lead healthier lives, improving education, and improving employment opportunities.

Over the last 10 years, the Community Trust has grown substantially, currently supporting over 1,500 individuals each and every year, providing something for everybody. In recent times, the Trust has been recognised on both a local and national scale for the work done throughout the Community. In 2020, the Trust was awarded the Scottish FA Grassroots ‘Best Professional Club in the Community’ national award. This was followed in 2021, by the Scottish FA Grassroots ‘Best Para-Football Project’ regional award and in 2022 and 2023, by the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce ‘Commitment to the Community’ Business Star award. The Trust was also awarded the ‘Sport for Change’ award by the Perth & Kinross Sports Council.
