St Mary’s Kenmure is a childcare organisation that offers a safe and secure environment for the care and education of young people who are referred from the Courts and Children’s Hearings. Young people from all over Scotland and England come to St Mary’s.

Our secure facility for 24 young people, in four house units each housing 6 young people. Each young person is entitled to and will receive a high standard of care from a team of experienced and qualified staff who strive to meet their needs and ensure their health and safety. We also offer a wide range of academic and vocational subjects to allow our young people to learn and develop during their stay, along with a variety of recreational facilities including a seven-aside football pitch, gymnasium, fitness suite and a swimming pool.

Dochas House is a modern non-secure, residential care facility on the St Mary’s Kenmure campus. It feels like a family home with private bedrooms and large airy and relaxed living spaces. Young people will have complex needs of a nature and intensity that they require ‘secure’ care. Dochas House will use a psychological framework for formulating young people’s developmental, psychological (attachment and trauma) mental health and risk needs.

St Mary’s is located in the North of Glasgow in Bishopbriggs. It is in commutable distance for Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling.

For the role of House Manager, we are looking for a compassionate, dynamic, inspiring, informed and highly competent residential care manager to join our team: You must be caring, self-motivated, work well within a team, lead a team and drive a caring culture. The House Manager is required to work independently and be accountable for their House and at times the wider campus. The House Manager promotes the learning and professional development of their team. The House Manager meets and exceeds regulatory requirements and raises the reputation of the service and sector. They must be politically, research and strategically aware. We are looking for someone who has the professional resilience to address with challenging situations in an ever-changing environment, always upholding and driving the Vision and Values of St Mary’s Kenmure.

The House Manager delivers excellent care and ensures the safety of vulnerable children to realise the best possible outcomes for them.

The salary for this post is £56,350 - £58.821 per annum, based on 37 hours per week
