Trees for Life is Scotland’s leading conservation volunteering charity, working to restore the ancient Caledonian Forest to a spectacular wilderness region of the Highlands. We are working with a number of partners across our Core Area to grow the Caledonian Forest of the future through planting native trees, removing non-native species, fencing seedlings to protect them from overgrazing, and reintroducing missing species such as the red squirrel. In 2012 we planted our millionth tree and we are now working to establish the next million by 2018.
