Children and Young Person's Worker - Domestic Abuse - West Lothian

West Lothian Women’s Aid (WLWA) is the sole charitable organisation in West Lothian working to provide information, support and accommodation to women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse in the area.

This role focusses on offering practical and emotional support to children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse.

Support is offered to children and young people who are living in our safe accommodation and on an outreach capacity. A critical part of the role also includes providing groupwork and childcare support to enable women to attend our recovery focused programmes.

The preferred candidate(s) will have at least 2 years’ experience working with children and young people and casework experience. The successful candidate(s) must be a driver with access to their own vehicle and should have an SVQ level 3 (Children and Young People) or equivalent qualification.

THE VACANCY ATTRACTS THE RATE OF £25,969 FULL TIME EQUIVALENT PER ANNUM (£14.27 PER HOUR) AND 4% CONTRIBUTORY PENSION. THESE ROLES ALSO INVOLVE PARTICIPATION IN AN OUT OF HOURS ON-CALL ROTA (ONCE EVERY 6-7 WEEKS) WHICH ATTRACTS ADDITIONAL PAYMENT. CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS IS THURSDAY 8 AUGUST @ 9AM.
