If you're passionate about enabling recovery, we need you!

Due to internal promotions and other staff movements we are now seeking two full time Substance Use Workers to join our Aberdeenshire based team as follows:

  • 1 Substance Use Worker (full time, part time hours may be considered) based in Inverurie Step In and areas around Central Aberdeenshire with potential for remote/home working and flexibility to cover in other areas across Aberdeenshire as required.
  • 1 Substance Use Worker (full time, part time hours may be considered) based in Stonehaven and areas around South Aberdeenshire with potential for remote/home working and flexibility to cover in other areas across Aberdeenshire as required.

The main focus of these roles will be to help ADA to deliver person centred, effective services to those affected by alcohol and/or drug use across Aberdeenshire.

We are looking for candidates who have a background in Community Learning, Nursing, Social Work, Counselling, or other related field. To be successful you must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the needs of those affected by alcohol or drug use. Ideally, you will have had experience of working with substance users and knowledge of effective interventions and be qualified, to SVQ level 3 or above (or qualified by experience).

For full details please see job description attached below.

The roles will be based in either Inverurie or Stonehaven as specified but there will be a requirement for flexibility and travel across other locations in Aberdeenshire from time to time if required.
