Support Worker

We have a vacancy for a Support Worker to be employed on a permanent basis.

The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. Our residents are individuals ad they all deserve to be treated as such. However, as a general guide, duties will include support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.

The position that we currently have vacant, is an average of 28.5 hours per week over a 6 week rolling rota, working a variety of day shifts which will include working every second weekend.

You should be SSSV registered or able to commit to registering after completion of one month of employment.

SVQ Level 2 in Care is desirable though not essential. Consideration will be given to anyone who can demonstrate a warm and caring approach with good verbal and written communication skills together with an ability to work on your own initiative. if you do not already have an SVQ Level 2 in Care you would be required to work toward gaining this essential qualification and must be committed to undertaking to complete the qualification within the first 18 months of commencing employment with us.

Our home is staffed 24/7 and we have a variety of shifts in operation. Early shifts commence at 7:30am and late shifts start at 4pm. Our late shifts generally end at 9:30pm.

Rate of Pay: £12.85 per hour.
