Opportunity to join Bield's Casual bank - Cumnock

At Bield our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We are a non-profit organisation with charitable status committed to providing a wide range of housing, care and support services to enable older people in Scotland to live independent and fulfilling lives.

Bield are now seeking Casual Assistants to support cover requirements for planned and emergency leave. This would be a great opportunity for someone who would like to have more flexibility around their working arrangements and or gain experience in social care.

Menzies Court and Glebe & Warrick Court provide a Retirement Housing with Meals Service to tenants, aged 50 and over, who wish to retain their independence but also want to benefit from leaving the worries of making their own meals each day to someone else.

Both developments are Retirement Housing with meals properties, located just off Cumnock two centre and within a 15-minute walk from each other.  Great location to access local shops and cafes as well as great transport links.

The successful candidates will undertake a range of cleaning duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development. You will also assist by preparing the dining room for mealtimes, heating prepared meals and delivering these dishes to tenants.

On occasion, the Assistant will be expected to clean vacant flats and/ or external pathways of the development and provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. In addition you will respond to property emergencies, taking appropriate action when the Manager is off duty and providing cover for the development office as required.
