Casual Retirement Housing Assistant Opportunity in Duns.

Our Retirement Housing service, Turnbull Court in Duns, is currently looking for a Casual Retirement Housing Assistant to undertake a range of cleaning duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development. Additional cleaning tasks such as cleaning vacant flats and or external pathways of the development may be undertaken periodically. You will provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. You will also contribute to the maintenance of a high level of cleanliness within all common parts of the development.

The Role

The successful candidate will undertake a range of duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development.

On occasion, the Assistant will be expected to clean vacant flats and/ or external pathways of the development and provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. In addition you will respond to property emergencies, taking appropriate action when the Manager is off duty and providing cover for the development office as required.

Role Requirements

- An interest in working with older people and an understanding of their needs is essential.

- Although relevant experience in a similar post is desirable, it is not essential as induction and full training will be provided.

Shifts will be offered on a casual basis to cover planned and emergency leave. Ability to accept shifts at short notice would be desirable, however not essential.
