About the Role

The Marketing Assistant role sits within the People & Communications Team, working alongside Organisational Development, Learning & Development, People (HR) and Marketing & Communications. The Marketing team leads on delivering clear, consistent and timely communications across the organisation - internally to staff and externally to customers, partners, regulators and the wider sector.

Our communications activity spans everything from staff updates and wellbeing campaigns to essential regulatory updates for customers, service information, news stories, blogs, engagement campaigns and recruitment advertising. We support organisational priorities by ensuring messaging is clear, accurate, aligned to brand standards and responsive to emerging issues.

As Marketing Assistant, you will play a key role in bringing this activity to life. Working closely with the Marketing & Communications Lead, you will gather content from across the organisation, capture stories from services and teams, and turn agreed messaging into high-quality, well-presented materials.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two weeks look the same. One week you may be supporting an online staff engagement session, preparing recruitment advertising content and designing campaign assets; the next you may be capturing video content at a service, updating website content or helping roll out a key organisational update. You will contribute to strategic communications projects, supporting delivery through well-executed materials, strong visuals and consistent formatting.

The role requires someone with sound judgement who can understand the purpose behind communications, suggest appropriate approaches, and work collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications Lead to deliver high-quality outputs. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring everything we produce is clear, accurate and professional, maintaining high standards across all communications activity.

Occasional travel to services, developments and events will be required.
