We are passionate about delivering high-quality home care. This isn’t possible without our coordinators who are responsible for ensuring that our customers receive the best care at the right time according to their care plans.

This role is fast-paced and varied, no two days are the same. A role as a Care Coordinator means juggling your stakeholders; keeping your Care Assistants happy in regular customer runs and ensuring customers are happy with their care visits.

✅ You must live in Edinburgh to ensure you have local knowledge

✅ You must have at least 1-year experience in Care

✅ You must have a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle for work

✅ Excellent communication skills

✅ A supportive and calm manner together with excellent organisational and communication skills are vital for this role.

We are looking for a positive go-getter who can build positive relationships, deliver exceptional work, as well as adapt their communication skills to whom they are speaking to.

Responsibilities

  • Inform the Lead Coordinator and/or Registered Manager when there are recruitment needs.
  • Arrange cover for Care Assistant sickness, absenteeism, and holidays to ensure there is sufficient cover to deliver care and support on time.
  • Accept, allocate and process new referrals for care and support promptly.
  • Process changes to customer care and support.
  • Monitor the allocation of care assistants to maximise efficiency whilst supporting them to maintain an appropriate work/ life balance.
  • Create and distribute staff rotas weekly
  • Take part in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota. This will only be required after the post holder has received full training and has been assessed as competent to provide appropriate guidance and advice in emergencies. Our on-call rota is paid at an hourly rate added to your salary.
  • Work with the office team to maintain up-to-date electronic and handwritten records. Use systems to record and monitor mileage and travel distances. Make sure that accidents and incidents are recorded, reported and acted upon.
