We are seeking a dedicated Lifestyle and Wellbeing Lead and Assistant to join our team and contribute to our culture of innovation, respect, and connection.

Role Specifics:

  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote community spirit, and physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
  • Champion lifestyle and wellbeing initiatives to enhance quality of life, sense of belonging and fulfilment.
  • Connect with and support residents to identify unique goals, creating and implementing personalised wellbeing plans – this could be making the bed each day, to doing that once in a lifetime dream!
  • Collaborate with all colleagues to provide a cohesive approach to lifestyle and wellbeing, in a culture that values innovation and respect.
  • Support ‘activities’ to be all aspects of daily living – traditional activities, passive activities, day to day housework, individual goals, outings.
  • Support residents with care needs and nutritional needs. Encouraging independence.
  • Participate in and lead resident activities in both group and 1:1 sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
  • Support volunteers who can assist with activities and life in the home.
  • Encourage and support the involvement of families and friends in lifestyle and wellbeing activities.

Lead Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a dynamic team to make a significant impact on residents’ lives.
  • Involve all staff in lifestyle and wellbeing activities to foster a holistic approach.
  • Plan and manage fundraising events and community connections to enhance engagement.
  • Manage the budget for entertainment, materials, and outings, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Lead resident meetings and gather feedback to continuously improve services.
  • Facilitate intergenerational connections and sessions to enrich residents’ experiences.
  • Introduce and lead new initiatives for lifestyle and wellbeing, staying at the forefront of care practices.
  • Challenge traditional concepts of activities, bringing innovation and excitement to the role.
  • Develop and oversee volunteer management, including induction, ongoing support, and supervision.
  • Conduct risk assessments for activities and outings to ensure safety and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in care or wellbeing roles.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
