The Vacancy

Hi,

I am Donald, I live in Scone in Perthshire and I am recruiting for 2 Personal Development workers to join my brilliant team to help me live my good life. People who know and love me say I am intelligent, thoughtful, considerate and courteous and that I have a curious mind. I am also told I am kind; fun loving and have a passion for the great outdoors.

Living my good life involves having the wind in my face and water in my hair. I love running, cycling, long walks in the countryside or on the beach, and swimming in the sea. At home, I enjoy playing cards, board games, completing jigsaws, doing arts & crafts, and cooking and baking. I am good at chess. I also enjoy reading, singing and being part of my local community visiting church and spending time with my family.

I have a great life ahead of me and I need some help to live the life I want. I am looking for team members who are honest and kind, and people who are emotionally mature and can offer me calm reassurance and guidance when I need it. You must be active and have a sense of adventure, a spirit of ‘get up and go’ to ensure we make the most of each day as we head to the beach, or on a cycle or out for a run. I will also need support to manage my home, to stay healthy, safe, and well and to reconnect to my local and wider community. I will have support during the day, in the evening and overnight. Having some knowledge of autism would be an advantage but is not a deal breaker.

Having the right people around me is more important as education and training will be provided. Having a full Drivers License would be an advantage for this position.
