The Vacancy

Job Brief:

As a Support Advisor, you will walk alongside the people we work for to support them in living their good life. You will be part of a team of frontline managers who empower each individual to manage their team of Personal Development Workers. Together, you will ensure every person we support receives high quality, personalised, meaningful, and aspirational support.

This role will be dedicated to supporting a young man, who will be living in Perth and a young woman also living in Perth to establish their teams and live their good life.

You will play a key role in ensuring his support reflects both individual’s needs, including autism and sensory support requirements, enabling them to enjoy everyday living and be an active and valued members of their community.

  • Supportive, with a coaching and mentoring style that helps teams work to the best of their abilities to meet the needs of the person we support.

Experience of working with adults with autism and/or sensory needs is essential.

Your Skills:

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Effective communication with individuals, their families, and professional partners, including adapting communication methods to support sensory and communication differences.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and IT skills.
  • Relationship building and multi-disciplinary partnership working skills.
  • An understanding of person-centred, outcomes-focused support.
  • The ability to listen, problem-solve, and remain calm under pressure.

A relevant qualification in line with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) (e.g. SVQ 3 in Health & Social Care) or a willingness to undertake this is essential.

A full driving licence and access to a car is preferred for this position.
