I am a 76-year-old woman who lives in Dumfries and has a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder (BPD), Parkinson’s Disease with subsequent dementia, Diabetes, Atrial Fibrillation, Osteoarthritis, Hypothyroidism and Kidney Disease (stage 4). Due to those serious and debilitating conditions, I am increasingly struggling to manage personal care tasks daily and although my husband is extremely helpful, he also requires much needed respite. I am looking for someone who can support me in my home with PC tasks and provide some respite for my husband.

Duties

- Support with PC tasks e.g. meals, showering, possibly getting out of bed and dressed, incontinence care occasionally

- Any support for client that falls under personal care or respite for main carer

Person Spec

Driver’s License preferred

· Reliable

· Experience in Adult Care

· Strong Character and sensitive to client’s needs and conditions

· Great sense of humour

· Ability to use own initiative

· Flexible

· Person-centred approach

· Must have a clean driving license

· Female only

Hours of work

- 2 hours per week can be flexible with days/times

Terms of the role

- £12.60 per hour

- Paid annual leave

- PVG required
