Personal Assistant - Crossmichael

Hello, my name is Aileen. I am 80 years young and live with my wonderful husband. I have dementia and am looking for a kind and reliable Personal Assistant to support me with personal care. This includes help with washing, dressing, and hair care.

Due to limited mobility, I spend much of my day in bed, but I do use a rollator to move around the house. I already have another Personal Assistant who covers week days. I am looking for someone to join the team on a Saturday and Sunday for two hours per day. Hours to be discussed at interview.

A little about me: I used to volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the Threave Osprey Trust. I enjoy watching TV - especially travel programmes and Escape to the Country - as well as reading and birdwatching.

I'm looking for someone who is flexible, dependable, and ideally trained in moving and assisting (training can be arranged for the right person). A driving licence is helpful but not essential, as we live on a bus route. Experience with dementia would be an advantage but is not required.

There may be opportunities for additional hours to cover holidays and sickness.
