Personal Assistant- Langholm

I am a lady in my late 60’s who has several long-term health conditions and lives near the centre of Langholm. My husband is my main carer but, due to his deteriorating health, requires increasing support to help look after me.

Areas of work would include cleaning, laundry, checking that I am ok and making me hot drinks/light lunch. Help is most needed each weekday morning, from 9am. Weekly support will be provided by 2 people, one working 12.5 hours (3 shifts) and the other 8.5 hours (2 shifts). Experience isn’t essential for either of these posts. The ideal candidate would be reliable, caring, patient, flexible, able to work on their own initiative and understand the need for confidentiality.

Due to our health, we would prefer candidates who have had Covid vaccinations and are willing to get boosters and take regular lateral flow (Covid) tests.

Females only need apply as permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. If you are successful you will need to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Self-Employed candidates are welcome to apply and the hourly rate will be adjusted accordingly.

You will need to be a member of Protecting Vulnerable Group (PVG) scheme. If you are not already a member, I can advise you how to apply.
