About the Role:
We are seeking friendly, enthusiastic, and caring individuals to join our Holiday Hub team as Support Workers/Playworkers. In this role, you will support children and young people with additional support needs during school holiday programmes, helping them take part in enjoyable and meaningful activities in a safe and inclusive environment.
Activities may include arts and crafts, baking, games, sports, outdoor play, and community outings. Your role will be to encourage participation, promote wellbeing, and help each young person have a positive and fun experience.
This is a relief/bank position, offering flexible working where you can choose the shifts that suit your availability.
Main Responsibilities:
- Organise and support engaging, age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, sports, baking, and games
- Assist young people during outdoor play and community trips
- Provide personal care when required, ensuring dignity, respect, and individual support needs are met
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants
- Work as part of a supportive team to ensure the smooth running of the holiday programme
Holiday Club Details:
Working Hours:
8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Thursday during Easter and Summer school holidays

About You:
We are looking for people who:
- Enjoy working with children and young people with additional support needs
- Are caring, patient, flexible, and approachable
- Have good communication and teamwork skills
- Can create a fun and supportive atmosphere
- Are willing to work holiday and occasional weekend shifts
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Childcare qualifications such as SVQ3 or HNC Childcare are welcomed, although full training and support towards qualifications can be provided.
