About the Role:

We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Children & Young People’s Support Worker to deliver practical and emotional support to children and young people affected by domestic abuse. You’ll work in schools and community settings across Clackmannanshire, running 1:1 sessions, group programmes and healthy relationships workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people.
  • Deliver outreach and group programmes in schools and community settings.
  • Develop and run age-appropriate activities and workshops.
  • Build strong relationships with partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and contribute to reports.

About You:

You’ll have experience supporting vulnerable children and young people and an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse. You should be confident working both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Criteria:

  • Recognised childcare qualification (e.g., HNC Childhood Practice or SVQ Level 7).
  • Experience supporting children/young people in emotional distress.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
  • Driving licence and access to own car with business insurance.
  • PVG membership (or willingness to join).
  • SSSC membership (or willingness to join).

Desirable:

  • Experience facilitating groupwork or workshops.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and gender-based violence issues.
