About the Role:
We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Children & Young People’s Support Worker to deliver practical and emotional support to children and young people affected by domestic abuse. You’ll work in schools and community settings across Clackmannanshire, running 1:1 sessions, group programmes and healthy relationships workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people.
- Deliver outreach and group programmes in schools and community settings.
- Develop and run age-appropriate activities and workshops.
- Build strong relationships with partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and contribute to reports.
About You:
You’ll have experience supporting vulnerable children and young people and an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse. You should be confident working both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Criteria:
- Recognised childcare qualification (e.g., HNC Childhood Practice or SVQ Level 7).
- Experience supporting children/young people in emotional distress.
- Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
- Driving licence and access to own car with business insurance.
- PVG membership (or willingness to join).
- SSSC membership (or willingness to join).
Desirable:
- Experience facilitating groupwork or workshops.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and gender-based violence issues.
