Lead Practitioner (Driver only) - North Lanarkshire

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Lead Practitioner to join our fantastic #TeamNLSlighean on a part-time (25 hours), fixed-term basis for 12 months, providing maternity cover in North Lanarkshire.

You’ll be joining our transitional service for young people, supporting them as they take important steps towards independence and prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

The role

As a Lead Practitioner, you’ll lead, support and inspire a team of Support Practitioners, ensuring they deliver high-quality, person-centred support.

You’ll provide guidance and mentorship to your team, helping them support young people to develop confidence, independence and practical life skills, while working alongside our Service Lead to ensure the service operates effectively and within agreed requirements.

For this opportunity we will need you have a full UK manual drivers licence.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about people, confident in leading others and committed to delivering excellent care and support.

• Experience of managing and supporting people
• Experience within the Health & Social Care sector
• A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred support
• An understanding of supporting young people to develop independence and life skills
• Knowledge of SSSC Codes of Practice and Health & Social Care Standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
• A strong understanding of professional boundaries and accountability
• A commitment to achieving an SVQ Social Services & Healthcare SCQF Level 7 and PDA in Health & Social Care Supervision, if not already attained

Shift patterns

As a Lead Practitioner, you will work 5 out of 7 days. There may be occasions where we will need you to be flexible to work evenings, sleepovers, waking nights and weekends due to the needs of our services. On call duties will also form part of your role on a rotational basis.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
