Are you experienced in Health & Social care and dedicated to providing first class care and support? If you are ready for your next career step, then this could be just what you are looking for!

Our fabulous #TeamCastlecraigs is hiring in #Ardrossan and on the lookout for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a can-do attitude to join us on a full time, permanent basis as Lead Practitioner (Team Leader).

The Role

As a Lead Practitioner, you'll work closely with our Service Lead to run and develop our teams, delivering hands on, practical support and line management to ensure that our colleagues are operationally competent. You will be responsible for conducting regular staff support, rota management and providing out of hours support to colleagues where required. Part of this role will also include assisting the Service Lead in all aspects of the delivery and development of the service.

You'll be joining a warm, friendly and passionate team who supports 13 individuals who have complex support needs. We have a great team spirit within the service and our colleagues really pride themselves on working together to make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals we support.

We'll need you to be confident in your knowledge of what it takes to effectively run a service and by using a coaching and mentoring approach pass your expertise on to our teams to ensure that they deliver the highest quality of service to the people we support. We'll also need you to be committed to your own self development and be prepared to learn new skills to allow you to deliver any additional training requirements our teams will need.

What we'll need you to bring:-

  • Knowledge of what it takes to run an effective service within the Health & Social Care sector
  • A passion for and experience of delivering high quality, person-centred care and support
  • Sound knowledge of SSSC Codes of Practice and Health & Social Care Standards
  • Proven record of building and maintaining positive and professional relationships with supported individuals, their families and other stakeholders
  • The ability to lead others and work collaboratively
  • Great communication skills; both verbal and written
  • A sound understanding of professional boundaries, accountabilities and responsibilities and how they relate to supporting vulnerable individuals
  • A commitment to undertake and achieve a SVQ Social Services & Healthcare SCQF Level 7 qualification and PDA in Health & Social Care Supervision (if not already attained).

For a full list of key responsibilities, please see our role profile attached to this advert.

Shift Patterns

As a Lead Practitioner, you will usually work your hours Monday-Friday as this is an off-rota role, however, there may be occasions where we will need you to be flexible to work evenings, sleepovers, waking nights and weekends due to the needs of our services. On call duties will also form part of your role on a rotational basis.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!
