Our amazing teams in Bishopbriggs are on the look out for new part time (20 - 39 hours per week) colleagues to complete their team on a permanent basis.
The Role and The Individuals You Will Support
One of our teams play a crucial role in supporting 3 fun loving gentlemen with all aspects of daily living. With your support you will enable the gentlemen participate in various activities and events within their local community and reach their full potential. The gentlemen enjoy listening to music, watching movies (in particular James Bond) and going for coffee.
Our other team provide support to 4 individuals who have learning disabilities and other complex support needs, including physical disabilities. The people we support have many interests such as enjoying new experiences, living life to the full, going on holiday, cooking, socialising and meeting new friends.
About You
At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team!
We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need to build your career within the Health & Social Care sector. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and your SSSC registration fees too!
What we need you to bring: -

- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
- Good administration skills
- Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
- Confidence in the use of computers
Due to the people we support having their own mobility cars, it would be beneficial if you had a full UK manual drivers licence with one years experience on the roads. However this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts will fall into patterns of early mornings, days and evenings. Weekends, sleepovers and public holidays will also form part of your work schedule on a rotational basis.
When working a sleepover, the sleep part of your shift isn’t included in your contracted hours. You receive an additional payment per sleepover worked.
