The Role

As a Support Practitioner, you'll be providing support to two men within their shared home. Your main aim will be supporting their day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, housework, shopping and medication. As both men enjoy an active social life within the local community, we would be looking for you to be enthusiastic about participating and supporting them with their hobbies and interests including going out for meal, clothes shopping, discos and going on the bus for day trips along with getting away for UK breaks supported by the staff team. The gentlemen also like keeping fit by going swimming and out for walks.

Our team really pride themselves on working together to make a positive difference. By taking a person centred and outcomes focused approach, you will get to know both men as individuals, encourage their independence and help them recognise their potential. There will be aspect of lone working as part of this role.​​​​​​​

To be a great Support Practitioner we'll need you have the following qualities;

  • Honest and hardworking.
  • Able to follow guidelines.
  • Confidence in the use of technology.

Shift Patterns

Our dedicated team provide 24/7 care tailored to the needs of the gentlemen they support. Shifts are either 7am-10pm or 7-11pm (sleepover) finishing at 7.15am the following morning, 2 days a week.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
