Support Practitioner (Driver only) - Irvine

You’ll support a young man to enjoy the things he loves — from walking and bowling to music, discos and days out in his car — while helping him discover new opportunities, build independence and achieve his goals.

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, energetic and enjoys being active, with a genuine desire to make a difference.

You’ll need:

• A full UK manual driving licence
• To enjoy walking and being out and about
• A positive, patient and enthusiastic approach

Shift Patterns

We provide tailored support with shifts typically being from 9:30am to 9.30pm with a sleepover to the next day next day. However, this does change on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday due to day service commitments for the young man. Weekends and public holidays would form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

As sleepover shifts don't count towards you contracted hours, you would receive an additional payment of £107.60 for every sleepover worked.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
