Are you on the look out for a job with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? We've got just the opportunity for you!
Our amazing #TeamVictoria in Dundee are looking for a friendly, patient and caring new *female colleague on a permanent part-time (15.5 hours per week) basis.
The Role
You'll become part of a fun, friendly team who supports ten individuals with various learning and/or physical disabilities. Nine of the individuals all live within the same complex and you will support them to maintain their tenancies in their own flats and one fun loving young lady who currently lives nearby in her family home. There's never a dull moment, every day is different!
As a Support Practitioner, you'll support with all aspects of daily living, including meal preparation, housework, medication, finances and appointments. With all of the individuals enjoying getting out and about in their local communities, you'll also find yourself getting involved in things like swimming, taking part in walking groups, day trips, city breaks, arts & crafts, animals, football and cooking to name a few.
About You
At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
- A caring and compassionate attitude and approach
- The ability to work well in a team
- Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a popular activity
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- The ability to cook and support with meal planning
- Confidence in the use of computers
It would be great is you also have a full clean driving license as some of the people we support have their own mobility cars, however this isn't a dealbreaker for the right candidate.
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best care and support possible, shift patterns will involve working early mornings, days and evenings. Sleepovers, public holidays and weekends will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
Please note that we are unable to work this contracted post around a university or college timetable.
The sleepover part of your shift is not included in your contracted hours and you will receive a payment of £96 for every sleepover worked.
Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
