Shift patterns

Our 16 hour post this would involve working one shift per week between the hours of 1100-1100 hours (includes a sleepover). The 24 hours post would involve working your hours over 1 or 2 days per week and would also include a sleepover. Weekends and public holidays would form part of your rota on a rotational basis for both roles.

​​​​​​​The sleepover part of your shift isn't included in your contracted hours, so you will also get an additional £87 for each sleepover worked.

The Role

As a member of our team you'll be providing 1-2-1 support to a young man in his own home. Your main aim will be supporting his day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, housework, personal care and medication. As this young man enjoys an active social life within the local community, we would be looking for you to be enthusiastic about participating and supporting him with his interests including motorsports, plane spotting, the cinema, walking and day trips.

About You

For this opportunity, we're ideally looking for someone who has experience in caring or supportive role with the ability to lone work and have confidence to manage behaviour that can challenge. However, the successful candidate will undergo training on a detailed and specific support plan devised by a multi disciplinary team.

What we'll need from you:-

  • Good communication skills
  • A caring attitude and approach
  • A positive approach to learning
  • An understanding of the importance of following routines and guidelines
  • The ability to cook
  • Confidence in the use of computers

It would be great if you also have:-

  • A full, clean driving license as this gentleman has his own mobility car and enjoys going out for drives.
