Looking for a new job that will you bring satisfaction like no other?

Look no further as we have some great opportunities to join our #TeamDrum in Dunfermline as Support Practitioners on a part-time, full-time or relief basis.

Our team and the ladies you'll support

As a Support Practitioner you'll become part of a welcoming, friendly team who provides invaluable support to four amazing ladies who have profound and complex needs within their own shared home.

You'll build genuine relationships with each lady and be part of moments that really matter; whether it's providing support to cook a meal, achieve a goal, try something new or just feel understood.

In addition to supporting the ladies with all aspects of their daily living, our team encourage them to live a valued life and get the opportunity to have a variety of experiences by planning lots of days out and arranging a number of activities in their home, from arts and crafts to alpaca visits.

The ladies do all have limited communication, so getting to know them will take time but once you do, you'll find this role and their company so rewarding. There's no better feeling than going home after every shift knowing that you've made a positive difference in someone's life.

Why you'll love this job

  • You'll have a job that actually matters
  • You'll build meaningful relationships
  • You'll feel proud of what you do
  • You'll see the difference you make in someone's confidence, independence and happiness
  • We'll provide full paid training, no experience is needed
  • You're not just a number here; we have a supportive culture
  • Every day is different, no two shifts are ever the same
  • You can be yourself and be proud of what you do
  • There are opportunities to grow and develop if you want to
  • We'll fund your yearly SSSC registration fees

What we'll need you to bring

  • A caring and compassionate attitude.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Confidence in the use of computers.

The ladies have their own mobility cars so it would be great if you have a full, manual UK driving licence, but this isn’t a deal breaker for the right candidates!

Shift Patterns

Our dedicated team provide 24 hour support with shifts usually falling into patterns between the hours of 0700-2200 hours. Waking nights, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays would also form part of your rota on a rotational basis. Shifts may occasionally vary depending on the needs of the people we support and activities planned.

Our sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £100.80 for every sleepover you work. Waking nights are paid at your normal hourly rate plus an additional supplement per waking night worked.
