Looking for a new part-time job with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? Look no further, as we're looking for people like you to join our amazing #TeamQuebec in Elgin! We have permanent contracts from 16 to 25 hours per week and relief opportunities too if you're looking for something a bit more flexible!

The Role

You'll be joining our longest running service in Moray and will become part of a dedicated, fun and friendly team. Our team currently supports five individuals, all with different support needs to live in their own shared home.

The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same! Your main aim will be to support the individuals with all aspects of daily living, including shopping, housework, finances, medication and personal care.

All of the individuals are very active and love to get out and about, so you’ll also find yourself being involved in activities like music, darts, pool, badminton, gaming, horse riding, going to the cinema, meals out and arts & crafts to name a few.

About you

We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need previous experience as a Support Worker or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need; we'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7 qualification and your yearly SSSC fees!

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • A good sense of humour
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Great communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Confidence in the use of computers

It would be great if you also have a driving licence, however this isn't a deal-breaker for the right candidates!

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shifts patterns do include early mornings, days and evenings. Weekends, sleepovers and public holidays would form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Our sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment of between £96 per night.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

Have any questions? If you'd like to find out more, please contact Jill McLennan on 01343 559337.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
