We’re looking to build a team of motivated, bubbly and enthusiastic *female colleagues for a fabulous new service in Kilwinning supporting a lady in her own home.


​​​​​​​The Role


As a Support Practitioner, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting with all aspects of daily living including support with housework, administration of medication, assistance with personal care and the management of personal finances. Due to a strict dietary regime for her health needs you will ideally have an interest in cooking and ability to follow healthy recipes.


The lady we support enjoys socialising and being proactive in her local community, listening to music, pamper days and getting her hair and nails done. We'll be looking to you to help identify new opportunities for participation and inclusion where she can achieve her own personal goals and aspirations.


As the person we support has her own her mobility car which she loves using for drives to the beach and going for coffees it is essential you hold a full UK driving licence.

We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ.


To be a great Support Practitioner, you'll be:

  • naturally empathetic person with a warm, friendly personality
  • able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills and set clear boundaries
  • able to build and maintain positive, respectful relationships different people
  • adaptable, confident when lone working and able to use your initiative
  • competent in the use of technology to enhance the support you provide, e.g. Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • reliable, flexible and responsive to meet the changing needs of the people we support


Shift Patterns


We provide tailored support 24/7 on a 1:1 basis. Shift patterns include full days with a sleepover.


Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment at your hourly rate.

If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.
