Looking for a rewarding new part-time job with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? We've got a great opportunity for you!

Our amazing #TeamSchoolPark in Strichen are now on the lookout for new *female colleagues on a part-time (20 or 25 hours per week) and relief basis. For these opportunities, we will need you to have a full driving licence due to the rural location of our service.

The Role

As a Support Practitioner, no two days are ever the same; you'll be part of a fun, friendly team who supports five amazing and unique individuals with profound learning disabilities and complex needs to live in their shared home.

Your main aim will be supporting the individuals with their day to day needs which includes administering medication, physio activities, moving and assisting, personal care, appointments and housework.

Some of the individuals also enjoy being an active part of their community, so you may also find yourself being involved in activities like going for walks, riding wheelchair bikes, bingo, supporting in the swimming pool and snoozelin.

About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and SSSC yearly registration fees too!

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Great communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Basic computer skills

Shift Patterns

We have various contracts available, including weekend only contracts. As we’re dedicated to providing the best support possible, shifts patterns usually fall between the hours of 0645-2100 hours and waking nights (2100-0700 hours). Weekends are worked on a rotational basis.

Waking nights are paid at your normal hourly rate plus an additional £20 for every waking night worked.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
