Based in Clydebank, our Fabulous #TeamAilsa are on the lookout for a reliable, patient and upbeat *female colleague with a calm nature to join them as a Support Practitioner.


The Role

Through tailored care plans, our friendly team support 4 ladies with various learning disabilities to live in their own home where they can achieve their individual goals and live their best life. This role involves supporting the ladies in their day to day lives which includes housework, personal care, making meals and attending appointments. As a Support Practitioners we’ll need you to be flexible in your approach whilst being able to follow guidelines.

There’s never a dull moment here as the ladies enjoy an active social life, from knitting to dance classes and going to the theatre. Another favourite of their pastimes is going out and about in their cars for day trips, the ladies particularly enjoy going to Largs, Loch Lomond and Oban as well as runs around the local area. So if you love to travel, enjoy a challenge as well as turning your hand to a bit of karaoke, then this might the ideal role for you.

As the ladies have their own mobility cars, it is essential you hold a full UK, manual driving licence with a minimum of 1 year experience driving.

About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills and will give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even put you through your SVQ qualification too!

All we’ll need you to bring is;

Shift Pattern


Our team are dedicated to providing tailored care 24/7 to the ladies they support and will cover a mixture of dayshifts, backshifts, sleepovers and waking nights.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Successful candidates will be invited forward for interview on 23rd October at our Carman Centre in Renton.


If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
