Looking for a role that means more?

Whether you're taking your first step into care, looking for a fresh start, or need a role that works around your lifestyle we have a part-time (16 hours per week) opportunity for you in Irvine. We're on the look out for a new *female colleague to join our team.

Our teams and the people we support

Our team supports two wonderful ladies who enjoy a wide range of activities, including listening to music, attending discos, trips to the theatre and cinema, shopping, and holidays. Both ladies use wheelchairs, so the role also involves assisting with mobility and using tracking hoists - no two days are ever the same

They both have their own mobility vehicles and love getting out and about, so you'll need a full UK manual driving licence and at least one year's driving experience.

About you

No experience? No problem! We'll train you, pay you and support you every step of the way. You'll even gain funded, recognised qualifications as you work.

We want people who are: -

  • Kind, positive and up for a challenge
  • Great team players
  • Willing to learn and try new things
  • Ready to make a difference
  • Confident using computers and tablets

Why you'll love it here

  • You'll have a meaningful job doing things that you enjoy - it often doesn't feel like work
  • No uniform - we wear our own casual clothes
  • We fund up to £500 towards driving lessons
  • We reimburse your SSSC registration and PVG fees
  • Access to professional development and career progression opportunities
  • Recommend a colleague bonus scheme
  • Long service awards
  • Access to a 24/7 independent employee assistance helpline
  • 26 days annual leave (rising by 5 days after 5 years) plus 4 paid bank holidays
  • Family friendly leave options, including family, parental, bereavement and special leave
  • Access to lots of discounts, including the cinema, gym memberships, holidays and shopping

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of the ladies, shifts currently fall into patterns of 8.30am - 9pm or 12noon - 9pm, 7 days a week and will include sleepovers and weekends on a rotational basis.

The sleepover part of your shift isn't calculated within your contracted hours, so you would be paid £96 for any sleepover worked.

Don't wait - apply today and start a career that changes lives (including yours).

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.

*For this position female is an Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
