Looking for a rewarding new part-time job, then look no further! Our fabulous #TeamKinross are now on the lookout for two new caring, compassionate and patient *female colleagues with a good sense of humour to join them on a part-time (11 and 22 hours per week) basis.

The Role

The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. You'll be part of a small, fun, friendly team who supports an amazing young lady who has a mild learning disability and PTSD. Your main aim will be to provide support with all aspects of daily living, you'll also support her to socialise, maintain relationships and continue to live independently.

You'll play a huge part in helping her to realise her potential, reach her goals, learn new skills and play an active role in her local community and take part in her hobbies and interests. Some of her hobbies and interests include animals, she has her own cat and particularly loves horses, going for walks, knitting, gardening, music, shopping and watching TV & films.

Shift Patterns

Our 11 hours per week contract will typically involve working one shift per week and our 22 hours per week contract will typically involve two shifts per week. Each shift will include a sleepover. Weekends and public holidays will form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Sleepovers do not form part of your contracted hours; for every sleepover you work, you will receive an additional payment of £96!

About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills and will give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too! However, for these particular vacancies, we are ideally looking for drivers, but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidates.

All we'll need you to bring: -

  • A caring and compassionate attitude and approach
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
  • Confidence in the use of computers
  • A love of animals as this young lady has a cat who lives in the household

It would also be great if you have a full driving licence, however this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

We are looking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible, so reserve the right to close our advert early if we find a suitable candidate before the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
