Would you love a new part-time job where you can make a difference and be that person that someone can rely on?
You’re in luck as we're looking for a new colleague to join our amazing #TeamGlenorchy in Lennoxtown on a permanent, part-time (30 hours per week) basis.
Our team and the individuals you'll support
You'll become part of a friendly, fun, and welcoming team who supports five individuals with various support needs live in their shared home. There's never a dull moment at Glenorchy, so if you're looking for a job where it's different every day, look no further!
As a Support Practitioner, your focus will be to help the individuals we support with all aspects of their daily living, including, shopping, finances, meal preparation, personal care and household tasks.
You'll also find yourself supporting with their hobbies and interests too, so if you enjoy the odd holiday, a bit of football, socialising, singing and various indoor and outdoor activities, then this could be the role for you.
About you
No experience? No problem! We'll train you, pay you and support you every step of the way. You'll even gain funded, recognised qualifications as you work.
We want people who are
- Kind, positive and up for a challenge
- Great team players
- Willing to learn and try new things
- Ready to make a difference
- Confident using computers and tablets
Due to the people we support having their own mobility cars, it would be beneficial if you have a full UK manual drivers licence with 1 years’ experience on the roads but this isn’t a deal breaker for the right candidate.
If you don't live in the Lennoxtown area and are not a driver, we will need you to be mindful of the location of our service and be confident that you can travel for your shifts as there are limited public transport links available that fit with all our shift patterns.
