Shift Pattern
This role will involve working 1 x 16 hour shift plus a sleepover per week. Weekends and public holidays will form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
The sleepover isn't included in your contracted hours, so you'll receive a payment of £107.60 for the sleepover part of your shift.
Our team and the individual you'll support
You'll become part of a small, friendly and supportive team who supports an amazing gentleman who has cerebral palsy who lives in his own home.
Your main aim will be supporting this gentleman with all aspects of his daily living. He likes to lead an active lifestyle and enjoys going bowling, day trips, swimming, going to Costa for coffee and cake, exploring and technology.
This gentleman also enjoys the quiet times too, so we're looking for you to bring an ability to think of activities to do indoors too when the weather isn't so great.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills and will give you all the training you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registrations and PVG fees too!
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
- A caring and patient attitude and approach
- The ability to work well in a team
- Confidence to lone work
- Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Confidence in the use of computers
It would also be great if you have a full UK driving license and at least one years' experience on the roads.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
