Looking for a great new part-time job where you can make a difference? We've got a great opportunity for you! We're now on the look out for a new colleague to complete our #TeamPollaine in Stonehaven on a part-time (25 hours per week) basis. We also have relief opportunities too if you're looking for something a bit more flexible.
The Role
You'll become part of a friendly, fun team who supports a lady and gentleman to live in their own shared home. The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. Your main aim will be supporting with their day to day needs which involves personal care, shopping, finances, cooking, housework and medication.
The individuals we support are a very sociable duo and enjoy being part of their local community; some of their hobbies and interests which include bowling, swimming, preparing home cooked meals, going to discos, the theatre and out for walks. As both individuals have their own Motability cars and love going for drive, it would be great if you hold a full UK, manual driving license but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.
About you
You don't need experience in care as a Support Worker to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
- Good listening and communication skills
- A caring attitude and approach
- Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
- A positive approach to learning
- Good team working skills along with the ability to work on your own initiative
- Confidence in the use of computers
- A driving license and access to your own vehicle if you don't live within the Stonehaven locality
Shift Patterns
We're dedicated to providing around the clock support that is tailored to the needs of each individual, so shift patterns for our service usually fall into patterns of 0830-1530, 1000-1500, 1530-2130 hours, we also have a sleepover shift which involved working from 1000-1000 hours the next day and includes a sleepover. Weekends and public holidays also form part of our rotas.
The sleepover part of your shift isn't included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment of £96 for every sleepover you work.
