Principal Teacher

Salary: £52,896 - £55,077 per annum

We are looking for a Principal Teacher to oversee the day to day running of our Learning Services including safeguarding of children and young people, managing, developing and implementing improvements and establishing the Donaldson Trust as the specialist provider of learning and education for neurodivergent children and young people in Scotland.

The Donaldson Trust is the National Body for Neurodiversity. We believe there is a genuine opportunity to change society for better. We aim to be at the forefront of driving this change, and make a difference with, and for, neurodivergent people.

You will lead, develop and manage teaching, learning and opportunity for health and wellbeing and pupil voice, ensuring that operational planning takes account of the complex needs of children and young people, diversity, values and experience of Donaldson Trust. You will develop and support creative approaches to the delivery of learning within the school, continually monitoring impact and liaising effectively with young people, their families, external agencies and partners.

You will have varied teaching experience, including working with young people with complex support needs, a track record of providing leadership and change management within an education setting and strong collaboration and influencing skills. Strong working knowledge of safeguarding and school improvement processes are essential.

The post is subject to full GTCS registration and PVG Scheme Record/Update for regulated work with children.

The post is based in Linlithgow Campus.

Closing date for applications: Tuesday 17th September 2024

Interviews will take place on: Thursday 26th September 2024
