Come and join a progressive and expanding organisation who are investing in the local community as well as it’s people!

We have over thirty years’ experience of providing high quality homes, care and support to people with learning disabilities in the Scottish Borders. Our specialist learning disability service is growing, and we are excited to be able to extend this provision to service users in Kelso, in bespoke new homes at Poynder Gardens, within the grounds of our award-winning Extra Care Housing development, Poynder Apartments.

If you are a caring and compassionate Support Worker who prides themselves on providing enabling care and support for people with learning disabilities, this may be the job for you! Whether it is supporting people with their core needs including personal care, helping with healthy meal planning, food preparation and cooking, participating in social activities or even a spot of gardening, no day is ever the same in social care, that is for sure!

If you have a Driving Licence and are passionate about supporting people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and their local community, this job is for you.

We have opportunities for Support Workers to join a new team at our brand-new Learning Disability Service in Kelso, on a variety of contracted hours ranging from 16 to 37.5 hours per week. We are looking to fill several varying shift patterns including waking nights, over 7 days, with individual requirements being discussed at interview stage.

You should ideally have (or be willing to work to achieve) an SVQ3 at SCQF Level 7 in Social Services and Healthcare. You will need good ICT skills and be able to use MS Office 365 as well as care, staff, and housing management software, with a positive approach to learn and use new tools as they become available. Most importantly you should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of Eildon’s vision and values.

In return Eildon offer a competitive reward package and a range of benefits. This role requires membership of the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme and SSSC Registration.

If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please contact Andries Fourie, Care Services Manager (East) on 07788 206298.
