Women's Domestic Abuse Support Practitioner

We are seeking to recruit a full time Women's Domestic Abuse Support Practitioner, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be based within our Aberdeen office, but outreach support duties will also form a considerable part of your role.

We are looking for a dynamic and committed practitioner to join our expanding Women’s Domestic Abuse Team, based in Aberdeen, to provide direct support to women who have been affected by Domestic Abuse. Working as a support practitioner, you will provide support to women mainly on a one to one basis at various locations within Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire including GWA refuge accommodation.

Although not essential, if you have two years or more employment experience working directly with adults in a support role we would be interested to hear from you for this post. A relevant SVQ Level 2 qualification of equivalent qualification in Social Work or Community Education is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. However a willingness to complete specialist domestic abuse qualification (IDAA) is required.

A driving licence and full access to a car is essential as this post involves travel throughout Aberdeen City and Shire.
