About the Role

Hanover Scotland are excited to be recruiting for a Governance and Assurance Officer to join our Business Support and Transformation team based at our Edinburgh office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join at a time of growth and development within the organisation.

As Governance and Assurance Officer you will:

  • Improve and manage our information management policies and processes with specific reference to GDPR and FOISA regulations.
  • Support the administration of internal Audit, Insurance and Risk.
  • Support the Executive Business Officer as necessary with the day-to-day aspects of managing the Board and Committee.
  • Manage and improve the Good Governance & Assurance Frameworks.
  • Work alongside the Company Secretary to fulfil company secretary administration.

About You

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role and of carrying out complex administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of Freedom of Information (FOI) and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and processes.
  • Developed skills in using MS Office applications and writing key documents including business cases and project plans.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues across all levels of the business.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload, work at pace and to deadlines, with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
