Various hours are available each week ranging from 16hrs - 39hrs
The Service
Tullideph provides a range of care and support for adults with learning disabilities. Support is provided to individuals within a residential setting and on an outreach basis in Dundee to individuals within their own homes. Support is provided 24 hours per day within the residential part of the service and Outreach is provided from 7.30am – 10pm.
The service provides practical support to people to in their own tenancy, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment. The service also provides support to help people participate in social community based activities and access resources in the community relevant to their care and support needs.
The Role
To support the individuals with;
- Personal care, including toileting, bathing, showering and dressing
- Medication support such as administering medication
- Attending medical appointments
- Emotional and behavioural support
- Accessing local community and supporting with social activities
- Daily life skills (menu planning, cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping)
- Support to manage finances and money.
You will
You will have;
- A positive, flexible attitude, with an encouraging nature
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
- Be highly organised with the ability to work on own initiative
- The ability to react efficiently and effectively in emergency situations
- Possess an SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or have the ability to work towards this qualification
- Flexibility with shifts patterns; weekend work and sleepovers are a requirement of this post
- Be required to obtain registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
