About the Service
An exciting opportunity to join our team of Support Workers in Housing with Care services across Dundee as arisen due to service development and growth. Our teams support older people living in Sheltered Housing within the community to maintain personal independence in their own homes.
As a Support Worker you will be required to work as part of a team to deliver a high standard of care and support to individuals, enabling them to achieve their agreed individual outcomes. Support Workers will be expected to adhere to the standards set out by the Scottish Social Services Council Codes of Practice and Hillcrest Futures Policies and Procedures.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Work as part of a team to deliver a high standard of care and support to individuals to help them to achieve their agreed individual outcomes
- Undertake housing management tasks appropriate to the service as detailed in the service descriptor
- Participate in shift patterns, as required by the service, which may include evenings, weekends, waking nights, sleepover shifts, lone working and on-call duties
- Contribute to service improvements
- Be an effective communicator
- Contribute to team learning and development
- Take lead responsibility for a defined area of practice in the service, as negotiated and agreed with the line manager
