Homereach is charity run company providing care home accommodation and day support to adults with learning disabilities in Livingston, West Lothian. We are currently increasing the level of support hours that we provide to residents and are seeking full-time and part-time support workers to join our team on a permanent basis.

Previous experience is preferred but is not essential as full training will be provided.

These core staff team positions include some sleepover shifts in addition to the daytime hours. Sleepover hours are paid at the Real Living Wage rate which for 2026 is £13.45.

The role involves assisting our group of 7 residents in their daily living routines, supporting them to make their own informed choices, living healthy and active lives and promoting their independence wherever possible. Also, providing sessions of 1:1 community-based daytime support, enabling people to take part in a range of social, recreational or physical activities in the local community.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, makes good use of their own initiative and enjoys making a difference in people’s lives. You should work well as part of a team but also be comfortable with lone working.

Excellent rates of pay & benefits include;

  • All hours paid at the Real Living Wage rates or higher.
  • £13.45 - £14.55 per hour.
  • £13.45 per hour for all sleepover hours.
  • Permanent contract.
  • Enhanced company pension scheme with employer contributions matching your contributions, up to 5%.
  • 31 days of annual leave.

A qualification of SVQ3 Social Services and Healthcare is needed for this role but can be completed alongside your work if required, support and full funding will be provided. Equivalent qualifications such as an HNC in Social Care are also suitable.

PVG membership is required to work with vulnerable adults, this will be arranged and paid for by Homereach after an offer of employment is made.

It is essential that you declare any past criminal convictions on your employment application. These will not always be a barrier to employment but must be disclosed, even if they are classed as spent.

Scottish Social Services Council registration is also required for this role, we will assist with this during your induction and the initial fee will be covered by the company.

A consistent shift pattern will generally be offered however some flexibility is required as shifts occasionally need to be altered to meet resident's support needs.

Candidates should have their own vehicle and be happy to use this for work purposes. A tax-free mileage rate will be paid each month to cover all costs.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a positive environment and contribute to the wellbeing of the people we support. Please contact Daniel on 07840987525 or email Daniel@Homereach.Scot for an application form or if you would like to discuss the role.
