Help transform lives like Lucy's.

Hi, I’m Lucy, I’m 16 years old and I live with my mum and dad. Buttercups is my holiday home I share with my friends, and I love going there for sleepovers, I especially enjoy it more when my best friend Lisa stays too.

I enjoy Arts & Crafts, especially cutting, sticking and cluing. I am also a keen gymnast; I like to show staff all my moves. I love listening to music and dancing and think its great when staff join in too.

Busy environments can make me feel anxious so when it comes to supporting me, its important staff gives me lots of reassurance. I require staff to ensure they keep me safe and happy when staying at Buttercups.

Buttercups House is a state of the art Bungalow situated in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow and was purpose built to suit the needs of young people with complex, learning and physical disabilities who required a short break service. Buttercups House welcomes up to 3 young people at one time, during their time in our service the children and young people are encouraged to develop upon their current skills. Staff assist and encourage independence and wellbeing.

Children and Young people can come to Buttercups house for overnight breaks, giving them and their parent or carer regular respite. Breaks can range from one overnight to a few together. Longer periods can also be accommodated.
