What’s in it for You? Help transform lives like C’s.

My name is C. I am 16 years old and I have a learning disability.

I enjoy cycling, singing and dancing, and I am very creative! I love technology and I really enjoy arts and crafts, and have recently started to enjoy some gardening. It is important for me that my support staff are consistent with me and support me to respect boundaries and to express my needs and wants. I am also developing my independent living skills, and my support staff should encourage me to participate in household tasks and cooking/preparing meals.

Our Muirfield Project is a residential childcare service in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, providing support for up to 2 children and young people with complex additional support needs. We are looking to recruit a full time nightshift Childcare Practitioner who is motivated, creative and enthusiastic with the ability to deliver high quality care and support. Through the application of person-centred approaches within a trauma informed lens, the successful candidate will provide invaluable support to children/young people, promoting positive outcomes. The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Working knowledge of current legislation including GIRFEC, SHANARRI well-being outcomes and the Curriculum for Excellence is desirable and should be demonstrated through service delivery and support planning.
