The Mungo Foundation is a well-established charitable organisation, with over 40 years of experience supporting vulnerable individuals across Scotland. We employ over 700 staff, supporting approximately 1500 people a year, across a diverse array of services. Our services are tailored to the needs of each individual we work with and together we work hard to improve their quality of life.

Our Victoria Project based in the Govanhill area of Glasgow, is a residential care home, which provides support based on the Recovery Model of care to people with mental health issues.

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader who will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality person-centred service is delivered and that your staff team are trained and supported to carry out their roles to the highest ability and standards. You will be competent and confident in your own abilities and have the capability to effectively manage a number of employees.

You will support the manager with effectively managing rotas and supervisions for your team, oversee training and development of the team, providing informal practical and emotional support to colleagues in addition, to developing and maintaining key relationships with the individuals we support, staff and all professional agencies.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in mental ill health and within this position you will find yourself working alongside other professionals such as; social workers, support workers, therapists, CPNs and GP's.

You will have great ability to make a difference to the individuals' we support lives. We are looking for someone who is truly a team player, proactive, extremely resilient and energetic; you won't be afraid to work hard, get stuck in and take ownership by using your initiative. You should have experience of motivating and developing staff teams. Previous management/supervisory experience is desirable.

Experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.

The successful candidate, if unqualified, must be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.
