Hope Point is our Community Wellbeing Centre, and is operational 24/7 to support people living with ongoing mental health challenges & distress. With the aim of addressing barriers to recovery, we will use a personalised and strengths-based approach to promote self-management, resilience building and connecting positively to community and third sector resources which support ongoing wellbeing.

As a Relief Mental Health & Wellbeing Worker, you’ll make a difference to people’s lives every day. Your unique knowledge and understanding gained from your own lived/living experience will be called upon; we recognise, and value how transferable and insightful learning from previous life experiences can be.

The Centre itself will be open all day every day, and there will be shifts on a rolling Rota. There will be the opportunity to work on a one-to-one basis, and in groups. Workshops will take place in the Centre, and we will host support sessions by means of face to face, as people come into the Centre, by appointment, & virtually by video call, telephone, text and email.

We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who are available for waking night shifts or weekend working. Waking night shifts are paid at an enhanced hourly rate. Penumbra operate community-based Services across Tayside and there may be opportunity to carry out shifts in some of our other services.

As a mental health charity, we really value the wellbeing of our staff. That’s why we want you to know that you’ll be joining a friendly team, who will give you a supportive environment to help you thrive in your role, including all the training you need to feel confident and equipped.

We can offer you a tonne of employee benefits, and we can promise you’ll be inspired by some pretty amazing humans every single day. We will support you on your own career path; developing new skills, accessing formal and informal learning experiences and providing opportunities to put your continual progress into practice.
