Your new opportunity

We are currently recruiting a Recovery Coach in Moray to provide targeted assertive support for Adults and families experiencing substance use and alcohol use issues.

As a Recovery Coach, you will provide a comprehensive service for adults experiencing drug and/or alcohol difficulties. Supporting individual recovery within Moray’s integrated pathway and delivery of national standards.

You will be responsible for providing individual support and guidance to people who are experiencing complex or challenging situations. You will assess service user needs, formulate risk management plans, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor progress towards goals.

You will work collaboratively with other professionals and service providers to ensure service users receive the best support and resources available.

This role will have professional development opportunities, which will allow us to stay up to date on best practices in substance use and alcohol use treatment

Working pattern: This is a fixed term role for 12 months working 39 hours per week. Flexible working hours with a balanced rota system, including occasional evening and weekend shifts to support clients when they need it most. We value work-life balance, so you'll always have advance notice of your schedule.

What you will need to bring to the role

  • Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Experience working with individuals in recovery from addiction and mental health challenges
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of practice Knowledge and/or experience of recovery orientated systems of care, trauma informed practice and national standard support.
  • Up to date knowledge of adult and child protection legislation and practice
