Your new opportunity

Quarriers Mearns View is a supported living service based in Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire. We are current recruiting 2x full time Team Leader's who are skilled in supporting people with autism. Mearns View is a vibrant home where people can thrive while living independently. The team are dedicated to providing high quality care 24/7 to five men with a diagnosis of Autism and other additional support needs. Our service aim is to ensure the people who live at Mearns View live happy and healthy lives filled with opportunities to fulfil their potential and aspirations. Our staff provide support with a range of activities from swimming, horse riding social events and also support with learning at college.

As a Team Leader you will work with the Autism Service Coordinator, two other team leaders and wider support team carrying out supervisions while supporting people to achieve positive outcomes related to their learning journey. You will be responsible for care planning, including risk assessing and ensuring support is tailored to meet the needs of the people we support.

Working pattern: Both positions are permanent full time working on a 3 week rota, 39 hours per week 4 days over 7. For further details regarding the rolling rota, please see attached yearly planner which is designed in advance giving you the opportunity to plan and prepare for a great work life balance.

What you will need to bring to the role

  • SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent plus PDA or willing to work towards.
  • Experience of working in a care setting that is person centred and outcome focused
  • Experience of working with people with Autism
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary framework, building and maintaining professional and productive relationships
  • Experience of leading a team including meaningful supervisions
  • Knowledge of social care values, legislation and regulatory framework
